Air Liquide Réunion*, an entity of the Air Liquide group, has been granted the status of medical laboratory by the French Healthcare Authorities and has received the NDMA (New Drug Market Approval) for liquid and gaseous medical oxygen.

Medical oxygen is used in hospitals for surgery and resuscitations applications. It is also widely used in the home healthcare sector for the treatment of certain respiratory disorders.

22 June was the official opening day of the pharmaceutical laboratory located at Saint-Denis, the main town on the island. Air Liquide Reunion is now producing and marketing these two drugs to serve local hospitals and clinics.
