ROH And Bayer Sign Sales And Marketing Agreement For Polyacrylate Dispersions In Europe
Rohm and Haas has signed a contract to allow Avantcoat S.L., an affiliate of Bayer Hispania S.A., to market and distribute Rohm and Haas polyacrylate dispersions in Europe. The agreement is effective September 1, 2004. Rohm and Haas will continue to manufacture these products, which are used in the formulation of waterborne wood and furniture coatings.
These water-based products will be integrated into Bayer MaterialScience's portfolio of proven polyurethane-based coating raw materials, and UV-curing dispersions - all used for the industrial coating of wood.
Dr. Yves Vandenberghe, Market Manager for Industrial and Construction products in Europe, said, "We believe that this alliance is in the best interests of both companies, and will allow us to better serve the growing European wood coatings industry.
