Univar becomes distributor of Dankalk's lime, chalk, and calcium carbonate products for Nordic regions

Dankalk has appointed Univar as a distributor of its range of lime, chalk, and calcium carbonate products in the Nordic region. Under the agreement, Univar will distribute Dankalk's Alpine Fin, Asfaltfiller, Crumbles, Danchalk®, mineral lime and Gardenchalk brands and product lines in Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Baltic countries, in addition to parts of Sweden and Denmark. Univar is one of the world's leading independent suppliers of industrial chemicals and related specialty services and serves all branches of Nordic trade and industry.

With the agreement, Dankalk gains access to a wider range of customers in its served industry markets across the Nordic region, while Univar adds chalk and lime to its mix of chemical and related product portfolio. Among the applications of Dankalk chalk and lime products are soil amendments for agriculture; agents for water and waste purification; fillers for asphalt, plastic and concrete; pigments for paint and plastics colourants; as well as wet scrubbers for industrial flues and other emissions sources.

Univar's Nordic operations have an annual turnover of 150 million Euro, operating from sales offices in Göteborg and Malmö (Sweden), Oslo (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark) and in Helsinki (Finland). Warehouses and distribution centres are maintained at Malmö, Göteborg, Helsingborg and Stockholm (Sweden), Moss and Fagerstrand (Norway), Copenhagen and Fredericia (Denmark) and Rauma (Finland).
