EMS Invests in new Pilot Plant for Fibers

03-Feb-2004

The Fiber Research and Development Group of EMS-GRILTECH is constructing a new Pilot Plant. This is an important step in the corporate strategy regarding their "extension in fiber specialty capabilities." With this new pilot plant, EMS-GRILTECH will be able to develop new mono- and bi-component fibers from our Grilon polymers. The goal will be to make new products for the nonwoven and yarn market e.g. Paper Machine Clothing, Automobile and other technical nonwoven applications.

The investment of 2 Million EURO will be realized in the second quarter of 2004. The first developments are already in progress.
