Chemetall takes over Australian Licensee for Ardrox® aircraft maintenance products

Effective January 1st, 2004, speciality chemicals supplier Chemetall, has acquired Surechem Industries Pty Ltd., located in Sidney, Australia. Both companies have worked together for many years in the field of aircraft maintenance chemicals, with Surechem manufacturing and marketing the Ardrox® product range in Australia and New Zealand under license from Chemetall. The acquisition consolidates Chemetall's position as a major supplier to the aerospace industry in the Asia Pacific region. Surechem enjoys an excellent reputation in the Australasian aerospace industry and following many years of experience has developed a well established customer base.

As part of the Chemetall organisation, Surechem will continue to operate as a legal entity. The company will represent the Aerospace Technologies Business Unit of Chemetall (Australasia) Pty Ltd., retaining its specialised manufacturing site and laboratory. Along with the Ardrox range, the Aerospace Technologies Business Unit will also supply Dinitrol®, Naftoseal® and Oakite® products to service the Australasian aerospace industry in the fields of engine overhaul, airframe maintenance and non-destructive testing (NDT).
