The Lenzing Group Has a New Corporate Structure Beginning 2004

16-Dec-2003

At the beginning of 2004, the Lenzing Group will implement its new internal corporate structure. In essence, the previous site-oriented structure will be abandoned in favor of market-oriented profit centers.

"The new organizational structure is the prerequisite for our plans to achieve further international growth," comments Thomas Fahnemann, Chairman of the Lenzing AG's Board of Management, the comprehensive changes.

With responsibilities becoming more decentralized by shifting them to the operative management level, Lenzing AG's Board of Management is reduced from four to three members. The Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG therefore decided not to extend Franz Raninger's term on the Board of Management, which ends in 2004. The Board of Management of Lenzing AG will henceforth consist of Thomas Fahnemann (Chairman, with overall responsibility for fibers), Peter Untersperger (Finances, plastics, paper) and Christian Reisinger (Engineering, energy and environmental protection).
