Analytik Jena achieves large order in China
Analytik Jena AG has received a definite order from the Chinese Agricultural Ministry. In the context of the Feed Safety Engineering project, several institutes in China which are responsible for quality and food control as well as feed analyses are to be equipped by Analytik Jena with state-of-the-art analysis systems. The order in the single-digit millions relates to the supply of more than 30 systems for molecule and atom spectroscopy and also covers accessories. The order covers laboratories in some 25 of the total of 31 provinces in the country.
"We had originally anticipated realising the order from China is the previous financial year, but have only now secured the final conditions for securing the financing. Even without this order, we will achieve our sales forecasts for the past financial year. This order secures us a good start to the new financial year. What is pleasing is that on such a competitive market as the Chinese market, our marketing activities are generating noteworthy sales success. Conversely, the American and European market are lagging behind expectations", stated Klaus Berka, CEO at Analytik Jena AG.
Analytik Jena has had its own representative office in China for approximately two years. With seven local staff, all business activities and customer contacts in China and Hong Kong are handled there. China is currently posting the highest growth rates for analysis systems and alongside USA, Japan and Germany is one of the world's largest markets.
