WACKER SPECIALTIES and Regal Trade & Consult introduce OmegaDry® Cranberry
WACKER SPECIALTIES and Regal Trade & Consult, Hoboken, NJ, have announced the introduction of a cranberry seed oil gamma-cyclodextrin inclusion complex called OmegaDry® Cranberry. OmegaDry® Cranberry is applicable for food, beverage, dairy, bakery, confectionary, nutraceutical and personal care markets.
OmegaDry® Cranberry combines the nutritional properties of cranberry seed oil with the functional benefits of microencap-sulation on the molecular level. It delivers a highly stable, free flowing, white-to-cream colored powder, which is easily dispersible in aqueous systems, can be incorporated into mixtures unaffected by shear forces and offers controlled release via chemical equilibrium.
OmegaDry® Cranberry contains 45 percent cranberry seed oil and delivers naturally occurring Omega-3 EFA, tocopherols, tocotrienols, phytosterols and lecithin. OmegaDry® Cranberry was officially launched at the IFT Food Expo in July 2003 and will be featured by both companies at the SupplySide West International Trade Show on October 1 - 3, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada. WACKER SPECIALTIES and Regal Trade & Consult plan to launch other OmegaDry® berry oils in the future.
