Dynea has inaugurated a new adhesive plant in Surabaya, Pasuruan, Indonesia. The Pasuruan unit is the third new Dynea plant opened in Asia within a year, following the new plants in Shanghai, China and Krabi, Thailand. "With the new plant we are well placed to meet the growing needs of our customer businesses in Indonesia as well as the future growth prospects of East Indonesia," says Joseph Gunawan, Managing Director for Dynea Indria. "The inaugurated blending and handling facilities will be further upgraded with polymerisation capabilities for water based products in 2004/2005."

Dynea and its predecessor companies have served the Indonesian adhesion and surfacing market since 1975. Today, Dynea's activities in Indonesia comprise of three resin manufacturing units and one overlay manufacturing unit serving the domestic as well as surrounding Asian markets.
