Ashland Distribution Company's General Polymers Division To Distribute Equistar Rotational Molding Resins

The General polymers Division of Ashland Distribution Company (Dublin, Ohio) and Equistar Chemicals, LP (Houston,Texas) have announced an agreement under which General Polymers will become the United States distributor for Equistar's branded natural polyethylene resins for use in rotational molding.

By selecting General Polymers, Equistar builds on a long-standing relationship and commitment to the rotational molding industry by providing greater access to its resins through General Polymers' extensive sales network. General Polymers will manage sales, customer service and technical service for customers ordering this product line through its distribution network.

"We are pleased to expand our relationship with General Polymers, already a successful distributor of our (other) products," said Jerry Parker, Vice President, Polymer Sales. "General Polymers has provided rotational molding resins to the industry for a number of years and is knowledgeable about this market and customer needs. We are confident this change will provide better coverage and service for rotational molding customers."
