Agilent Technologies and VWR International to co-market ChromSword Auto software with Agilent HPLC and ChemStation Solutions
Under the terms of the agreement, VWR International GmbH will distribute the ChromSword Auto product within Europe, including pre- and post-sales activities such as product demonstrations, installation and user training. These activities will be tailored to the specific needs of analytical laboratories that desire to develop HPLC separation methods using the ChromSword Auto software in combination with Agilent 1100 Series HPLC systems and Agilent ChemStation software.
Developed by Dr. Galushko Software Entwicklung, ChromSword Auto is an expert system for computer-assisted and fully automated development of HPLC methods that predicts the optimum separation conditions for reversed phase HPLC methods without the need to perform prior experiments. The software uses a physico-chemical retention model derived from the properties or structural formulas of the analytes and the characteristics of the separation column. This helps chromatographers to minimize the number of method optimization experiments because they start with the theoretically predicted optimal method.
