Werner Heep announces his resignment from the executive board of RÜTGERS AG

Werner Heep (55), chairman of the executive board of RÜTGERS AG, Essen, will resign for personal reasons presumably by the end of the first quarter 2003. The supervisory board of RÜTGERS AG will decide on the mandate resignation of Mr. Heep and on his follow-up in its meeting on March 24 2003.
For 28 years Werner Heep has served in different responsible positions in the RÜTGERS group. Since June 1 1999 Mr. Heep is member of the executive board and since May 1 2000 chairman of the executive board of RÜTGERS AG. The supervisory board regrets Mr. Heep's decision and thanks him for his merits on behalf of the RÜTGERS company.
