Gabriel Performance Products Announces the Acquisition of Ranbar Electrical Materials
Headquartered in Harrison City, PA, Ranbar is a custom developer and manufacturer of specialty resins, varnishes, and coatings materials used in the industrial coatings, steel, electrical, and motor industries. The product lines consist of alkyd, epoxy, and polyester coating resins, steel coatings, and electrical varnishes, and are sold directly to customers and through distributors.
“The acquisition of Ranbar expands our proprietary product offering and grows our presence in the strategically important Coatings market,” said Seth Tomasch, CEO of Gabriel. “Ranbar offers a diverse range of specialty resins, robust research & development capabilities, a strong commercial team, and a proud history of safe and efficient operations. Their addition to Gabriel allows us to provide a broader array of products and services to the Coatings market.”
Randy Russell, CEO of Ranbar, added, “Together, Gabriel and Ranbar are ideally positioned to continue to serve our customers and accelerate growth through our combined operational expertise, product innovation, and commercial presence. We are all looking forward to joining the Gabriel team.”
Gabriel intends to retain all product lines and their respective brand names. Ranbar’s Harrison City, PA facility will serve as Gabriel’s third production plant. The acquisition follows Gabriel’s announced acquisitions of InChem's proprietary Phenoxy Resin ® business and the BASF Versamid ® polyamide curing agent product line.
