The offroader from the chemical industry
Being a great admirer of the Landrover Defender series, Jim Ratcliffe, CEO of INOES group, founded the new business branch INEOS Automotive. This, for a chemical company, unusual project is based on Ratcliffe’s personal attachment to this offroad car.

Ratclife saw a market he thought to be covered. This explains the investment exceeding hundreds of millions pound. Currently there is a survey for a suitable manufacturing place around UK and Europe.
The aim of the project is not to construct a copy of the off-road car but taking the spirit of the invention and interpret it in a modern way. The new branch is led by Dirk Heilmann, an experienced engineer of the INEOS group.
