New each week: Customized industry information on chemistry, life sciences and analytics
CHEMIE.DE introduces greatly improved newsletters
"The expectations of our readers as well as technical requirements are constantly in a flux," is how Dr Björn Lippold, Chief Content Officer at CHEMIE.DE, explains the challenge to further develop customized information solutions for industry professionals. "The usage habits of our readers have changed. The newsletters they read are much more often accessed from mobile devices." This is why CHEMIE.DE has now developed newsletter versions specifically for mobile devices. They can now be read conveniently out and about on smartphones and tablets.
Right from the start of the redesigning process, CHEMIE.DE involved its users: "We began our project earlier in order to involve our readers actively in the development of the new newsletter," explains Dr Björn Lippold. After evaluating reader expectations, we set up a comprehensive concept. A beta version of the redesigned newsletter was presented to a selected group of users. This prototype was then further improved on the basis of the feedback received.
Since January, all 65,000 readers of CHEMIE.DE’s newsletters have been able to see and appreciate the result. "I really like the new layout because it’s easier to get an overview," was among the first reader responses, as was "Great that it starts with the industry news, which readers find the most interesting" and "Tidied up and thus easier to read. In short, more reader-focused! Well done!"
