Change in WACKER's Executive Board
Dr. Joachim Rauhut
Dr. Joachim Rauhut studied industrial engineering and business administration at Karlsruhe Technical University, and obtained a doctorate at Berlin Technical University. In 1982, he began his career at Mannesmann Demag AG in Corporate Planning. After various management and executive-board positions at the Mannesmann group, he was appointed to the Executive Board of Wacker-Chemie GmbH (the Group’s former name) in 2001. Since November 2005, he has been CFO of Wacker Chemie AG.
Dr. Christian Hartel
Dr. Christian Hartel studied chemistry at the University of Constance. After earning his doctorate at the universities of Geneva and Frankfurt am Main, he began his career in 2000 at management consultants Bain & Company. In 2003, he moved to Corporate Development at WACKER. After various management positions at WACKER BIOSOLUTIONS and WACKER SILICONES, he became head of Raw Materials Procurement in 2010. He has been president of WACKER SILICONES since May 2012.
Dr. Tobias Ohler
Dr. Tobias Ohler studied economics, business administration and industrial engineering in France, Germany and Australia, and took a doctorate in economics at the University of Oldenburg. Following his studies, he was a consultant at McKinsey from 1997 until 2004. He joined Wacker Chemie AG in 2005 as head of Corporate Controlling. In 2008, he took over Raw Materials Procurement and, in 2010, joined the Executive Board of Siltronic AG. Since January 2013, he has been on the Executive Board of Wacker Chemie AG.
