PerkinElmer opens center for innovation outside of Boston
PerkinElmer, Inc. announced the opening of a new Center for Innovation in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The facility features a state-of-the-art laboratory space where PerkinElmer engineers, scientists and customers can interact and share insights to benefit the life sciences market. The R&D teams working at the facility will focus on the development of new products and applications in key areas such as biotherapeutics, imaging and pathology, biomarker research and genomic analysis.
“The Boston area is a hub for academic, biotech and pharmaceutical research organizations, making this expansion an exciting opportunity for us to work more closely with this community,” said Jim Corbett, senior vice president, diagnostics and life sciences and technology. “At the Center, researchers will have greater access to training and demos on how these disruptive technologies can enable the advancement of human health.”
