Oxea yet again expands production capacities for carboxylic acids
To better serve demand for carboxylic acids, chemical company Oxea has yet again completed a significant expansion of its production capacities. The Carboxylic Acid units in Oberhausen, Germany, were expanded by another 10 percent of nameplate capacity. The additional capacities will go on stream within the next weeks. Additionally, Oxea is currently building another carboxylic acid plant in Oberhausen. The aptly called “Carboxylic Acid Plant 3” is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2013.
“The coming months will see a significant increase of Oxea’s global carboxylic acid capacities. We are well on track with the speedy and reliable implementation of our strategy to expand into oxo derivatives and attractive growth markets,” commented Dr. Martina Flöel, spokesperson for the Oxea Executive Board, who is also responsible for production and technology. “We undertake these necessary activities to extend our market leadership and to generate a sustained basis for growth and long-term value enhancement”, Flöel continued.
