VWR strengthens position in mining lab supplies through strategic KLEN acquisition

VWR International, LLC announced the acquisition of KLEN International's mining supply business.
Based in Perth, Australia and dating back to 1974, KLEN is a diversified chemical manufacturer and distributor with businesses that provide a wide range of products to industrial customers. VWR is acquiring the portion of the business that manufactures and distributes products used by labs that serve the precious metals mining industry.
"Strategically located in Western Australia, VWR's acquisition of KLEN adds to our existing global mining supply network of facilities in the U.S., Canada, and Chile," stated Ted Pulkownik, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development.
