Merck and ESK Enter Cooperation Agreement for Functional Fillers

18-Apr-2012 - Germany

Merck announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the firm ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG covering their functional fillers for the cosmetics industry. According to the agreement, Merck will market Boroneige® functional fillers under its umbrella brand RonaFlair®. In addition, Merck will be responsible for application technology customer support. The agreement applies globally outside of North America and is effective immediately.

RonaFlair® Boroneige® functional fillers consist exclusively of boron nitride, a very pure powder substrate with a pure-white color and heavy metal values that are far below the statutory limit values. Boron nitride is a commonly used functional filler that Merck previously did not have in its range.

RonaFlair® Boroneige® functional fillers are offered in different particle sizes and can be used in a wide variety of cosmetic applications.
