DuPont is among the world’s Top 50 most admired companies, according to a study released by FORTUNE magazine.
DuPont is no. 37 on FORTUNE’s “Most Admired Companies” list – widely considered among the most definitive report cards on corporate reputation. DuPont has advanced six spots from the previous year for the second consecutive year and, since 2009, DuPont has progressed 15 spots. This year, DuPont also achieved the No. 1 ranking in its industry sector, the only company in its sector named to FORTUNE’s Top 50 “Most Admired Companies” list. The results, which are available online, will be in the March 19 edition of FORTUNE.
Among the key attributes of reputation used by FORTUNE to rate the most admired companies in each industry, DuPont was ranked first in: Innovation, People Management, Social Responsibility and Quality of Products/Services. FORTUNE’s “Most Admired Companies” list is widely considered the definitive measure of corporate performance and reputation. To identify and rank the most admired companies, FORTUNE and its partner, The Hay Group, surveyed approximately 15,000 senior executives, outside directors from the FORTUNE 1,000 and Global 500 companies and other major non-U.S. companies and financial analysts.
