Changes in Tikkurila Management Board

Tikkurila will change the composition of the Management Board of Tikkurila Group as of January 1, 2012. The number of Management Board members will decline from eight to five. From the beginning of next year, Tikkurila Management Board will comprise of the following persons:

  • Erkki Järvinen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of Tikkurila Management Board
  • Janno Paju, Chief Commercial Officer
  • Jukka Havia, Chief Financial Officer
  • Petri Miettinen, Group Vice President, Supply Chain Management and HSEQ
  • Kenneth Sundberg, Group Vice President, Research and Development

Antti Kiuru, Group's General Counsel, will continue as the secretary of Tikkurila Management Board.

The changes in the Management Board composition will have no effect on Tikkurila's external reporting structure.

Janno Paju will be responsible for the sales and marketing operations of Tikkurila Group. Directors of geographical areas and Group Marketing will report to him.

It has been agreed, that of the current Tikkurila Management Board members, Ilpo Jousimaa, head of SBU Central Eastern Europe, will resign from Tikkurila as of December 2, 2011. Arto Lehtinen, head of SBU Finland, will continue being responsible for the sales and marketing operations in Finland.

These changes in the Management Board target to speed up decision-making and to increase the efficiency of operations. On November 24, 2011, Tikkurila announced that a group-wide program has been started aiming at more flexible organization and cost structure, as well as at streamlining all operations.
