02-Dec-2011 - China

GEA Group received 4 orders with a total value of more than Euro 105 million for the design and manufacturing of air cooled condensers from Chinese customers. All of these orders will be handled by the segment GEA Heat Exchangers.

“These new orders are the successful continuation of our already proven track record of resource saving Air Cooled Condensers for power plants in China”, says Jürg Oleas, CEO of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft.

The GEA Condensers will be installed in new industrial power plants as well as in a power plant for the public power supply. One of the industrial power plants will have a capacity of 4 x 1100 MW. This power plant represents the world’s largest air cooled power plant blocks once it will be operational in 2015.
