DuPont Tops List of ‘Best Places to Work’
The Scientist has named DuPont as the No. 1 “Best Place to Work” among large companies in the magazine’s ninth annual survey. It is the first time DuPont was named to the top spot.
“The recognition is meaningful and significant because employees can participate in the survey,” said Benito Cachinero-Sánchez, senior vice president – DuPont Human Resources. “We are proud of our scientists and engineers. DuPont’s success is directly tied to their creativity, innovation and dedication to excellence.”
Editors at The Scientist noted, “By forging new relationships and finding novel uses for existing technologies, the companies topping this year's survey are employing creative ways to advance science and expand their markets.”
DuPont ranked No. 1 among Top Large Companies and 10th overall. The company secured 689 new patents and successfully commercialized more than 1,700 new products in 2010, “DuPont has become a powerhouse of technology and innovation in the science industry,” The Scientist noted.
DuPont Pioneer was awarded second place among large companies and 12th overall. Editors noted their ability to “establish relationships with international companies to exchange ideas and products to make their operations more efficient and promote advancement in science.”
