Nutrition 21 and Rutherford Chemicals Announce Long Term Supply Agreement
"Nutrition 21 is extremely pleased to continue its working relationship with Nepcam," said Gail Montgomery, President and CEO of Nutrition 21. "The estimated $17 billion US functional food market is growing at double digit rates and with the recent approval of Chromax as safe for use in foods, Nutrition 21 anticipates an increasing demand for chromium picolinate across a wide range of products. Nepcam is well-positioned to meet our anticipated manufacturing requirements and their technical capabilities will assure that our products meet the strict quality guidelines required to participate in the food and pharmaceutical markets. Furthermore, we are looking forward to Nepcam's active involvement in our research and development efforts. This collaboration should enable us to accelerate our product development and launch efforts," added Montgomery.
Susan Ostrowski, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Rutherford Chemicals added, "Nepcam has the technology and manufacturing experience to meet Nutrition 21's stringent requirements for production of chromium picolinate for human consumption. We are excited about the growth prospects of potential new applications for both human and animal health. Our collaborative product development approach is geared to help our customers capture new product opportunities quickly."
