Nutrition 21 and Rutherford Chemicals Announce Long Term Supply Agreement

PURCHASE, N.Y. July 31, 2002 - Nutrition 21, Inc, a leading developer and marketer of nutrition products formulated with chromium and other trace minerals, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a three-year exclusive supply agreement for the manufacture of its Chromax(R) chromium picolinate with Nepcam Inc., a subsidiary of Nepera, Inc., Harriman, New York, a Rutherford chemicals Company.
