KÖMMERLING Chemische Fabrik GmbH increases sales prices for adhesives and sealants

26-Nov-2010 - Germany

As a result of increased global demand and consequent capacity shortages, the supply situation of many key raw materials and feed stocks has become critical, and this has led to dramatic material cost increases. This applies particularly to plasticizers, polymers, resins and carbon blacks which to a significant extent determine the cost structure of adhesives and sealants. At present there are no signs of this situation easing.

In order to ensure continuity of supply, as well as maintain the high levels of quality and service, KÖMMERLING is forced to increase sales prices with effect from 1st January 2011 by up to 20%.

KÖMMERLING is fully aware that the implementation of these announced price increases represent a significant challenge for all parties. However, in order to sustain the policy of innovation, quality and service there is unfortunately no alternative to this measure, particularly as full advantage of internal opportunities for efficiency improvements has already been taken.
