GEA receives orders worth 28 MEUR from the Oil and Gas Industry
GEA has received 3 major orders worth EUR 28 million for the supply of Air Cooled Heat Exchangers to projects of the oil and gas industry. All of these orders were booked in Q3.
For a new LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant in the southern highlands of Papua New Guinea which is under development by Exxon Mobile and its joint venture participants GEA Heat Exchangers received one order to design, manufacture and supply more than 300 Air Fin Coolers. The heat exchangers will be manufactured in the GEA factories in France and China. The new LNG plant is intended to produce 6 million metric tons a year of liquefied natural gas for shipment to international markets.
In Brazil, GEA Heat Exchangers received two orders for Air Coolers for the new refineries of PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S/A – PETROBRAS in Pernambuco (North East of Brazil) and for the Comperj refinery in Rio de Janeiro. Both projects are part of an investment program of the Brazilian Oil Industry of more than US$ 200 Billion in the next years.
