Personnel and Organizational Changes for Oxea Group companies
Oxea announced that Bob Gengelbach, Member of the Management Team of Oxea's group companies and Director of Oxea Corporation, with responsibility for Global Procurement and Supply Chain/Customer Service and the Americas region will retire at the end of 2010, after more than 35 years with Oxea and the predecessor companies.
January 1, 2011 the responsibility for theAmericas region will be transferred to Martina Flöel in addition to her current responsibilities, while the functional roles for Global Procurement and Supply Chain/Customer Service will be assumed by Miguel Mantas in addition to his current activities.
For personal and family reasons Neil Robertson, Member of the Management Team of Oxea’s group companies and Managing Director of Oxea GmbH with responsibilities for finance and accounting and IT has announced his intention to retire from the management team of Oxea by the end of 2011.
Oxea is pleased to announce that Bernhard Spetsmann will join the Management Team of the Oxea Group companies and become Managing Director of Oxea GmbH as of October 1, 2010. Bernhard will immediately assume responsibility for Mergers & Acquisitions and Projects and he will assume the responsibility for the Finance and IT functions over the course of the next twelve months. Neil will work closely with Bernhard to ensure a smooth hand-over of responsibilities during this period.
Bernhard has previously been the CFO of Tank & Rast and had several senior management functions at Schmalbach-Lubeca AG such as CFO for the White Cap Division Europe/Asia and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions.
Oxea would like to thank both Bob and Neil for their tremendous work in forming Oxea and helping to establish the young company as the global leader in the oxo industry and welcomes Bernhard as a new member of the Management Team.
Oxea has decided that due to the increasing importance of the American business and Bob’s retirement a North American Management Council will be established in order to align all global functions in the region: the members will be Steve Friedewald, VP Marketing Oxo Intermediates, Cristóbal Ascensio, VP Marketing Oxo Derivatives, Purnendu Rai, VP Global Sales, Steven Parker; Site Director for Bay City and Bishop, and Wolfgang Hackenberg, Director Finance US.
The Management Council will be directed by one of the members on an annually rotating basis. For the first term, Steve will assume this role in addition to his current activities.
Purnendu will take over Bob’s function as Director for Oxea Corporation in addition to his current activities.
Cristóbal also remains responsible for the Mexican organization which he will represent in the North American Management Council.
