Air Products Appoints Nelson Squires Vice President of North America Merchant Gases
Air Products has appointed Nelson Squires vice president, North America Merchant gases. He is responsible for the growth and profitability of the company’s Merchant Gases business in the U.S. and Canada.
Squires joined Air Products in 1989 as a sales engineer and subsequently held management positions within the Electronics group. From 2001-2003 Squires managed the alliances and acquisitions program for Electronics, helping to implement its aggressive growth plans. He became a general sales manager for North America Gases in 2003, responsible for all merchant gas and liquid bulk selling activities in the region, and most recently held the position of director, Investor Relations. Squires received a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in 1983 and served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1983-1987.
