DuPont Names Doug Muzyka as Chief Science & Technology Officer, Tony Su as President of Greater China
DuPont named Doug Muzyka as its Chief Science & Technology Officer, succeeding Uma Chowdhry who plans to retire later this year following 33 years of service.
Tony Su, currently DuPont’s director of marketing and sales in China, will succeed Doug as president of DuPont Greater China. Both Doug’s and Tony’s positions take effect Sept. 1.
Doug, who earned a doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Western Ontario, started with DuPont in 1985 as a research engineer. He has served in a variety of technology, customer-facing and regional leadership roles for DuPont in the U.S., Mexico, Canada and China.
Tony joined DuPont in Taiwan in 1980. He has held a range of leadership roles in Asia Pacific and the U.S., including marketing for several businesses including Protection Technologies and Chemicals & Fluoroproducts.
Uma moved into progressive technology and business management roles after joining the company as a research scientist in 1977. She was appointed vice president of Central Research & Development in 2003 before she assumed her current role in 2006. Uma was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1996 and the American Academy of Arts and Science in 2003.
