Air Liquide supports Hydrogen Research through an industrial chair in Canada

12-Jul-2010 - Canada

The world of energy is in the midst of deep change and hydrogen is one of the solutions that offers a short term response to the challenges of sustainable transportation: reducing Greenhouse Gases, local pollution in our cities and dependency on oil-based fuels.

Air Liquide has just started a 5-year collaboration by sponsoring an industrial chair with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (CRSNG) and the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). Development of technologies to reduce the cost of hydrogen transportation, purification, storage and distribution technologies are the priorities of the partnership.
