SpecialChem Adds DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers To Its On-Line Polymer Expertise Platform
DuPont P&IP joins just three months after DuPont's Titanium Technologies (formerly White Pigment & Mineral Products business), the world's largest producer of titanium dioxide, became a successful on-line collaborator with SpecialChem.
The rapidly widening collaboration between SpecialChem and DuPont is exciting, according to SpecialChem CEO and co-founder Bernard Hasson. "SpecialChem has proved its value and suppliers are associating with the platform more and more as a result," says Hasson. "We're pleased that we have successfully expanded our collaboration with DuPont. DuPont P&IP is an important component and a promising addition to our effort."
SpecialChem's purpose is to allow suppliers to take advantage of their expertise and in-depth knowledge of specialty chemicals, as well as foster collaborative product development and innovation.
Karlheinz Hausmann, Polymer Modification Market Segment Manager for DuPont P&IP explains DuPont's decision to join SpecialChem: "Innovative use of specialty ethylene copolymers as additives can occur in many different plastics applications, from packaging to automotive. SpecialChem will help us reach and channel DuPont know-how to our potential markets. Focusing on customers has always been a priority for DuPont and now we supplement our online information access and support via SpecialChem."
SpecialChem's community of over 13,000 plastics industry professionals now benefits from exclusive technical information and consultancy entirely dedicated to polymer modification. DuPont P&IP is a very significant addition to SpecialChem's list of partners, which already includes Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Baerlocher, DSM and others.
