CEM Announces Formation of Japanese Subsidiary
As the second largest economy in the world, Japan offers substantial growth opportunities for all four of the Company’s business units; however, CEM’s current overall market penetration is lower there than in any of the Company’s other major markets. This untapped potential creates an even larger opportunity for CEM in the next few years. A key goal for the subsidiary will be to fully develop all of the major market areas for each of CEM’s business units: Analytical, Process Control, Chemical Synthesis and Bioscience. Initial areas of focus will include the analytical laboratory and peptide synthesis markets.
CEM Japan will employ approximately 10 people in 2010 and will add significantly more employees over the next three years, as the considerable expansion of business in the region and the Company’s strong R&D pipeline will create substantial future growth.
