Dow Coating Materials Announces Price Increases for Acrylic, Styrene and Vinyl Polymers in Europe
Dow Coating Materials will implement a price increase in Europe, including central and eastern Europe and Russia, for all products sold to the architectural and industrial coatings markets. The increase, effective February 1, 2010, or as contracts allow, will affect all acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions, vinyl based emulsions, rheology modifiers, solvent-based solid and solution acrylic polymers, opaque polymers, and dispersants.
For all acrylic products the prices will increase by five percent, for styrene acrylic and vinyl based emulsions by eight percent, and opaque polymers by 10 percent.
The increases are necessitated by the continued cost escalation of key raw materials used to manufacture these products.
