ECHA publishes concise guidance on chemical safety assessment
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published Guidance on chemical safety Assessment in a Nutshell. The document is now available in the Guidance section of the ECHA website.
The document is aimed at non-experts who would like to understand the legal requirements under REACH regarding the Chemical Safety Assessment. It provides an overview of what the Assessment is, how it is performed and documented. It also outlines the communication needs down the supply chain and the resources required, in terms of time and expertise, to comply with the legal obligations.
