Wacker Appoints New Distributor for VINNAPAS and VINNOL Dispersions

02-Oct-2009 - Germany

Wacker, the Munich-based chemical company, is restructuring its distribution network for VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® brand polymer dispersions. As part of a constant sales channel improvement, the IMCD Group - a Dutch chemicals distributor and already a Wacker partner - is to be entrusted with the distribution of Wacker’s polymer dispersions in the UK and Ireland. Effective October 1, 2009, IMCD UK Ltd. replaces previous distribution partner Grolman Ltd. Furthermore, dispersions business will be transferred from Wacker’s previous partner Biesterfeld to IMCD in the Baltics as well as in Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine, effective October 1, 2009. In addition, IMCD will also distribute Wacker’s polymer dispersions in Austria from October 2009.

IMCD distributes selected Wacker products in most West European and a few East European countries. VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® dispersions are chiefly used as binders in the construction chemicals, adhesives, nonwovens, paints and coatings, paper, carpets and textiles industries.
