Ciba Specialty Chemicals launches new high performance inverse emulsion flocculants as part of the Ciba® Zetag® 8000 series
Ciba specialty chemicals extends its flocculant range with a new product range of Inverse Emulsions. The Ciba® ZETAG® 8000 series inverse emulsions are for use in clarification, sludge thickening and sedimentation across all sludge types and work with all dewatering systems i.e. chamber press, membrane plate, belt presses and centrifuges.
The inverse emulsions fulfill the growing demands of environmental protection and modern high tech dewatering systems. They support process optimization and cost reduction and – last, but not least – preserve of our environment.
The new emulsions:
Ciba® ZETAG® 8816 Ciba® ZETAG® 8818 Ciba® ZETAG® 8846 FS Ciba® ZETAG® 8848 FS
show high performance, with benefits including:
- increased efficiency over existing products showing a reduction of product dosage up to 20%
- higher cake dry solids resulting in reduced costs both in dewatering process and sludge disposal
- improved clarity of filtrates/centrates
- high product stability at ambient and low temperatures, reduced oil content, no propensity to build up foam
- high process stability with maximum sludge throughput results in a more efficient use of machine capacity
