Hexion To Raise Prices For Composite Polymers in North America
Hexion specialty chemicals announced that it will increase prices for its unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resin systems in North America by eight cents per pound effective September 1, 2009.
The recent rise in base chemical feedstocks has led to significant price increases for raw materials, in particular styrene, requiring the price adjustment, said Gerhard Bohme, Business Director North America, Composite Polymers.
