New Management Board Chairman of DKG - the German Rubber Society
LANXESS manager Juergen Gunther to head DKG
Juergen Gunther (52), an employee of specialty chemicals company LANXESS AG, has been chosen as the new Management Board Chairman of Deutsche Kautschuk Gesellschaft (DKG – the German Rubber Society). Gunther, who was already a member of the Management Board, was elected at a general meeting to succeed the previous incumbent, Thomas Barth of Freudenberg New Technologies KG. Gunther, who has been involved in the international polymers business for over 35 years, will hold this post until 2012. He is currently head of Global Marketing in the LANXESS Technical Rubber Products business unit, and is responsible for the Specialties business line.
The DKG is an association of more than 1,000 individuals and companies whose common goal is to encourage research and development in elastomers and disseminate knowledge in this field.
