Zeppelin Industry Division takes over Reimelt Henschel
With effect from January 1st, 2009 Zeppelin silos & Systems GmbH, the headquarters of the Industry Sector within the ZEPPELIN Group, has taken over 100 percent of Reimelt Henschel GmbH from MBB Industries AG - subject to the approval of the Takeover Panel. Both companies are operating in the processing of bulk solids. Zeppelin’s focus lies on the plastics producer and rubber industries whereas Reimelt Henschel is concentrating on the food, pharmaceutical and plastics processing industries. This biggest acquisition in the history of the Zeppelin Industry Sector opens thus new markets and perspective growth potential, says Ernst Susanek, CEO of the ZEPPELIN Group.
Reimelt Henschel GmbH generated in 2008 sales of 104 Million Euro and employs 560 people. With the integration of Reimelt Henschel the Zeppelin Industry Sector has now over 1 200 employees and 300 Million Euro business volume. „This acquisition opens totally new perspectives to Zeppelin – and this just in our core competence field of bulk solids handling“, comments Peter Gerstmann, CEO of Zeppelin Silos & Systems GmbH. „Moreover, we have acquired another sustainable pillar which is more independent from our so far main industries, the plastics producer and plastics processor industries, and therefore less affected by their economic situation.“
