Aker Solutions granted engineering license in China
"We are very pleased to receive this engineering license, which underlines our long-term commitment to operating in China. We are confident that this license will enable us to offer a wider range of services to our valued clients," said John McClellan, president of Aker Projects (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
The license is required for engineering and construction companies located in China wishing to undertake engineering services for Chinese-based projects. The license further extends Aker Solutions' service provision to front end engineering and design (FEED); basic design; detail design; engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services; EPC contracting; project management, and other relevant technical consulting and management services.
Before being granted this engineering license, Aker Solutions' China operation undertook EPCM services, EPC contracting, and relevant technical consulting and management services based on its construction general contracting license.
Aker Projects (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aker Solutions in China.
