Unduloid

An unduloid, or onduloid, is a surface of revolution with constant nonzero mean curvature obtained by rolling an ellipse along a fixed line, tracing the focus, and revolving the resulting curve around the line.

These curves are special cases of the shapes assumed by soap film spanning the gap between prescribed boundaries.[citation needed]
