Subunit HIV vaccineThe Subunit HIV Vaccine was developed because it was better than the original HIV vaccine. It is made by mixing monomeric gp120 with Alum. Studies showed that the more gp120 you add, the less HIV infections the first group for testing had, but the first group was too small to confirm that.
