Regenerative air heater



A Regenerative air heater is a type of air preheater used in thermal power plants to preheat the steam generator's combustion air with the hot flue gas from the the steam generator. There are two types being used

  • Rothemuhle type: The heat exchange elements are fixed. The air ducts are rotated.
  • Ljungstrom type: The heat exchange elements are rotated. The air and flue gas ducts are fixed.
