QuasiatomQuasiatoms are collections of atomic or sub-atomic particles that when undergoing a collision that briefly appear to have the same characteristics as a (larger) atom. This can occur when the nuclei of the two set of particles colliding become much closer to each other than they are to their constituent electrons.
