Promethium-147Promethium-147 is an isotope of promethium with a half-life of 2.62 years. It is the promethium isotope easiest producible, because it is a fission product from nuclear reactors (the longest living promethium isotope Pm-145 is more difficult to produce). Additional recommended knowledgePromethium 147 is used as source for beta radiation and it can be also used for radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTG) (energy density approximately 2 watts per gram).
