Laboratoires Pierre FabreLaboratoires Pierre Fabre is a multinational pharmaceutical and cosmetics company based in Castres, France, near Toulouse. The company had a consolidated turnover of 1.43 billion euros ($1.62 billion) in 2003 (including 44% international). The company's business activity is focused on research, development, manufacturing and marketing of cosmetics, prescription medicines and family health products. Pharmaceuticals represent 50% of turnover, whereas cosmetics and homeopathy-phytotherapy represent 42% and 8%, respectively (percentages of 2003 turnover). Pierre Fabre is best known for its vinorelbine (Navelbine), an anticancer drug of the vinca alkaloid class. In the United States, the company releases their products via the brand name of Doliosis. That subsidiary is based in Las Vegas.
