Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences (PPS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original (primary) research and review articles from all areas of photochemistry and photobiology. PPS is published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and is the official journal of the European Photochemistry Association (EPA), the European Society for Photobiology (ESP), the Asia and Oceania Society for Photobiology (AOSP) and the Korean Society of Photoscience (KSP).

The editor of PPS is Sarah Ruthven. The Editors-in-Chief are Professors Janet Bornman and Frans de Schryver.

PPS has an impact factor of 2.416 (2006).[1]

PPS has been selected by the US National Library of Medicine for inclusion in MEDLINE, thereby increasing its visibility to the biological community. Chemical biology papers published in Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences are highlighted in Chemical Biology, the RSC’s point of access to chemical biology news and research from across all RSC journals.

PPS hosts another RSC publication, Chemical Biology.
