Hydrogen tank

Hydrogen tanks (other names- cartridges or canisters) are used for hydrogen storage, most tanks are made of composite material because of hydrogen embrittlement. Some tanks are used for fixed storage others are exchangeable for refueling at a hydrogen station[1].

At the hydrogen station Hamburg canisters can be refilled at 350 or 200 Bar, the canisters are fitted with an TN1 connector which is compatible with the common types TK15 and TK16 CNG dispensers.

2007 - as part of the hychain project hydrogen tank dispensers are used in Italy (Modena), Spain (Soria and León), France (Grenoble) and Germany (Bottrop)[2].
