EtravirineEtravirine (TMC-125) is an drug currently under investigation for the treatment of HIV. Etravirine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTIs). Unlike the currently available agents in the class, resistance to other NNRTIs does not seem to confer resistance to entravirine. Etravirine is being developed by Tibotec, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. The Food and Drug Administration is scheduled to review the safety and efficacy data for etravirine in early 2008.[1] Additional recommended knowledge
